D-DAY: DIANE ABBOTT – 25 YEARS AN MP

DETERMINED- DEDICATED-DYNAMIC

On 26th October 2012, we will be honouring Britain’s First Black Woman Member of Parliament.

The day will feature debate, discussion and cultural events representing the broad spectrum of Diane’s career, in recognition of her longstanding commitment not only to politics and community life, but to education, young people’s welfare, culture and the arts.

Featuring panel discussions, readings and live performance, this day long event will be a jubilee of a different kind.

D-Day will be taking place at Goldsmiths, University of London, and although by invitation only, we are pleased to be live-blogging, live-tweeting and streaming the event. Watch this space.
